Family business Paauw Lilies 

In 1923 a small family business laid its foundations. Today, Paauw Lilies is one ofthe largest producers of quality lilies in the Netherlands. Annually, Paauw Lilies produces an average of 12 million lily stalks, most of which is exported. Export markets include England, France, the United States, Russia and the Far East. Paauw Lilies is located in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands. The production facility has a total surface of 85,000 m2, with an additional 15,000 m2 for handling and storage purposes. The responsibility of overseeing and operating Paauw Lilies is currently in the hands of Wim-Jan Paauw. He is the third generation CEO, with his father Jan still playing a unique role in the company. Through their joint dedication Paauw Lilies has developed into a highly professional organisation. The lilies that are grown at Paauw Lilies are widely acclaimed for their beauty and purity. The company's success over the years is the result of their total commitment to quality.

Craftsmanship, determination and passion 

Growing lilies is done with passion and determination. Other requirements include lots of know-how, experience and craftmanship. At Paauw Lilies the love for lilies has passed from generation to generation. Wim-Jan Paauw shares his vision. ‘Lilies are a real luxury product, especially abroad. These flowers are used often at exhibitions and events. One single branch can bear upto 12 flowers, very decorative and truly remarkable.
There are many different types of lilies. At Paauw Lilies we concentrate on the most beautiful species. We try to find different varieties, for example with new colours or with special characteristics.’ ‘Besides product innovation we are also continuously looking for possibilities to improve our business process, in particular from an environmental point of view. We invest heavily in energy-saving adjustments. In our greenhouses we manage to establish an ecological equilibrium, thus avoiding the use of chemicals. Our production process is based on an almost completely closed system, allowing us to meet our high quality standards with a minimum of waste. We do much, if not everything, to guarantee our quality. That is why I dare to state that the lilies from Paauw are absolute top quality. And that makes us very proud.’ ‘At Paauw Lilies quality is all that matters.
